[Editor's note--this is continuing series featuring Chicago photobloggers. I am happy to hand today's post over to talented Chicago photographer Michael Jarecki. I hope you'll enjoy Michael's words and photos and check out his website at www.michaeljarecki.com and his photoblog at www.justmakepictures.com.]
My ideal Chicago would be one without the long winters. I enjoy working in the street, making pictures everyday Chicago people. Winter only hinders that, so I am eager for the snow to melt and for the cold abrasive winds to leave. On that topic, I haven’t gotten out much this winter to make street photographs primarily because I have been traveling for work. But here are a few photographs from “Inside City Walls” that I have made when winter was only near….Working in a non controlled
environment is an escape; I can ramble the streets looking for photographs of the everyday. Collecting information about people, a place, an energy all in a matter of seconds.
[Thanks, Michael. -DMO]
